Easy Easter table setting – pretty in pastels

I love nothing better than a reason to decorate a table prettily! Any reason is a reason to celebrate, right?

So with Easter just around the corner doing an easy Easter table setting in pretty pastels was so much fun! (If you enjoy looking at pretty table settings, you can see the Valentine’s Day table setting I did here)

Planning the pretty Easter table setting

I purchased some adorable Easter hunt bags from Woolworths – it was love at first sight! – and I immediately knew that I wanted to design my table around them.

That made deciding on the colour scheme really easy – I love these pastel colours (lilac, pink, yellow, green and blue!) Just so pretty!

Next I cut out some bunny silhouette’s from scrapbook paper that I could use to decorate my cabinet as well as use for place settings – I stuck pom-poms on as bunny tails in co-ordinating colours to add a hint of whimsy.

You can write your guest’s name on these if you would like – I didn’t on mine – but I think it would look gorgeous if you did!

I also made some bunting by copying the cute image on the gift bags and cutting them out. This all just helps add to the cohesiveness of your colour scheme and pull a theme together.

Next is the fun part! Decorating!

I used my plain white tablecloth for the table – as I was working with lots of colours – I wanted to keep it plain, and then layered it with a gorgeous bunny runner which I purchased from Next.(Seriously – this runner is so cute – can I keep it on my table all year round please?)

After that I added silver chargers, plates, cutlery and glassware. To make it a bit more special and personalised, I placed a chocolate sucker in a pot of moss with some mini eggs for each place setting.

As for the centre piece of the table – I started with a gorgeous bunny cake stand. I added a lot of ceramic bunnies of various shapes and sizes, some moss for greenery and then…some more bunnies! – and everything just fitted right together! I also used plenty of pink roses and speckled eggs to top it off!

It’s all in the (pretty) little details…
