Did someone say sweet? Or simple? Did I hear the words girly? And what about decorating a girl’s room for Christmas? Yes please!! This is how I added sweet and simple touches of Christmas to my little girl’s room!
I decided to just bring add a few touches of Christmas to my daughter Lauren’s room this year. The reason was purely for the sense of magic and excitement that it brings! And of course for the pleasure I get of added decorations and twinkling fairy lights! #givemealltheprettygirlythings
It’s the simple (and sweet) things in life…
I decided to keep the decorations very understated as her room is rather small. The furniture takes up a lot of space, so I didn’t want the decorations to be too overwhelming.
I bought a miniature Christmas tree (just a small 30 cm one) that could stand easily on her dresser. I tried to keep the decorations simple, as I didn’t want it to overwhelm her bedroom. A few miniature baubles, some pretty white and silver sparkly ribbon, pink rose fairy lights, a bow and a star on top and I was done!
I found these cute small bell wreaths at MRPHome which I immediately fell in love with! The size was just perfect to hang on her mirror using a piece of white satin ribbon!
And it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t have a bunny in the mix either…so I decided to keep the usual bunny that lives on her dresser. However, I did tie a bow around his neck just to make him look a bit more festive!
On the other side of her room I kept most of the ornaments on her shelves the same. I just added a few Christmas touches which you can see in the photo below…
Next I added some star fairy lights over her wall shelves – well, just because who doesn’t love fairy lights? I wasn’t going to be the one to say no to a few more! #sorrynotsorry
A look at some of the smaller simple and sweet details for Christmas in a girl’s room…
A small angel decoration hooked onto the door handle adds a little bit of sparkle..
And would anyone notice a small angel decoration hanging on a hook behind the door? Probably not… But she was so cute, that I put her there anyway!
And probably my favourite – let’s jingle and flamingle into Christmas, shall we? I added a bright pink flamingo next to a ceramic Christmas tree…
Do you decorate your children’s room for Christmas? This is the first time that I have ever done it and I had so much fun creating a sweet and simple Christmas girl’s room! I would love to hear what details you like to add to your home at Christmas time!
Oh and don’t forget to flamingle all the way...!
